Brandy Legrand - Owner/Pet Sitter
I started Purrfectly Poochy Pet Sitting, because of my desire to provide an alternative to Kenneling, Boarding and Doggy Daycare.

Pets have been a major part of my life and I know the stress that goes into locating someone who you can trust to provide quality care for your pets and your home.

Most people consider their pets family, so proper care, respect and love from a professional pet sitter is a necessity. Pet sitting is a full time career for me, not something that I do just as a hobby. I am licensed to work in Madison County and Huntsville, I am fully insured and bonded.

I love working with all types of pets: happy, excitable, shy/skittish and even aggressive ones. It takes time and patience, and there is nothing greater than a fearful or shy pet finally, getting close enough just to sniff your hand, it's wonderful and very rewarding.

I am also a Home Again Pet Rescuer and work with pet rescue groups as an occasional transporter and foster home. I also know a wonderful woman that rescues cats, so if you are interested in adopting a well cared for feline(s), please contact me.

Hiram Legrand - Co - Owner/Pet Sitter

At certain times, Purrfectly Poochy Pet Sitting may be extremely busy and will require the aid of an assistant to help with visits.  In such instances, the assistant will be my husband, Hiram.

Hiram is insured and bonded through Purrfectly Poochy Pet Sitting's policies and will assist on an as needed basis.

An animal lover in his own right, Hiram takes care of our own dogs at home and plays with them in our backyard, but often times accompanies me on sitting assignments as my unofficial chauffeur.

He currently works as an aerospace systems engineer with Northrop Grumman and holds a security clearance.  He also tutors in the afternoons, usually in mathematics or ACT preparation, with children of all ages.

Taylor Jones - Daughter/Mother's Assistant

Taylor is 10 years old and currently in elementary school. Pets have already become a major part of her life and she loves to help out where she can.

Her duties include talking, playing, brushing and providing fresh water for the pets in Purrfectly Poochy Pet Sitting's care as well as keeping Mom company.

She would like for everyone to know that she is nice and kind and her favorite pets to care for are cats (even though they make her sneeze!).

We sincerely hope that you will allow us to provide you and your pet(s) with the same reliable, responsible and loving care that we provide to our own pets. (pictured below.)

Our Purrfect Angels - May they rest in peace

* Lucy Pooh the Cockapoo, my childhood dog. She was so tiny when we got her. She passed away a few years ago, but had a long and very happy life, we still miss her.

*Madie the Toy Poodle, She was with us for a brief time, but it was some of the happiest times that we've had. She was full of life and loved wake you up with a nibble to the nose and kisses all over your face. She was such an angel and will not be forgotten.

Introducing the Legrand Bunch:

*Spencer the Yorkie , came from a family member who's pet had beautiful puppies. He THINKS that he is the Alpha dog, and likes to prove it every chance he gets. He loves his mommy and playing with Max.

*Maizie the Aussie, came from a local breeder. We love Australian Shepherd breed and set out to find one and fell in love with this girl instantly (Aussie's are extremely active, so be prepared if you are interested in getting one, the photo below is when she was 8 mos. old, she is so active we can't get any good photos - yet! While she is active, she is extremely love-able and a great cuddler, she is also Max's play mate and role model.

* Max the Catahoula Leopard Dog
, came to us from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society after being rescued from a house fire.  He has had a long road to recovery, (he had roundworms, hookworms, coccidia and an upper respiratory infection.) He is doing fantastic now and is enjoying his new home and play mates.

* Zayda the Tiny Poodle, came to us from a local breeder. She is adorable and is also my constant companion. She accompanies me to all of my pet sitting assignments as well as the movies and out for dinner.

So, I guess you could say that all three are completely spoiled, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
