Our Services offer you peace of mind in that your pet(s) will be well cared for, happy, safe and secure in the comfort of their own home. We take pride in knowing that our day-to-day efforts make a difference in the lives of pets and the people who care for them.  Every pet should be a wanted pet with all the love and affection they could ever desire and one of the most important things that we provide for your pet is companionship, love and attention. We provide this through playing, talking, brushing and petting, which is great for both your pet and your pet sitter.

At each visit, your pet is under our supervision at all times,  We will  refresh your pets water and allow time for potty, play, food, administer medication as required and perform general pet clean up including litter box(s).

An assignment report can be called in to you, sent by TXT or emailed daily, at the completion of the assignment or as requested. This provides you with a summary of how the assignment went and anything else you may wish to know or anything that we find worthy of note.

We can also do such things as: bring in the mail/newspaper, alternate lights on and off, open and close blinds or curtains and water plants if you should choose.

 So, say good-bye to

  • Rushing home during lunch to let them out to potty, when you have a long day at work.
  • Stressful car rides for both you and your pet.
  • Unfamiliar and often times noisy environments, which can stress your pet.
  • Worrying that your pet isn't getting the love and attention that they desire or that their boarding area is being cleaned properly and promptly.
  • Trying to make it back from vacation to avoid being charged for another day.

Some other things to Consider:

Pets are incredibly intelligent and can become bored and unhappy when they are not stimulated. Bored dogs may become destructive: chewing on furniture, walls and carpet.  Cats may claw furniture or refuse to use the litter box,  just a 30 minute walk (for dogs), playtime or simple human contact could alleviate this; and for owners who work long hours, this will allow for a less rambunctious pet when you arrive home.

It is also important to take your pets personality into consideration when looking for care. In an owner's absence, both Cats and Dogs are likely to become stressed. Stress can come from simple changes in their environment such as: the view from the window, being caged, other pets and loud noises such as excessive barking.

This stress can lead to many problems such as: bladder infections, lowered digestive and immune systems, refusal to eat, atypical aggression, difficulties or relapse in house training, depression or withdrawal.

Your pet is also at greater risk of acquiring fleas and developing viral infections such as Canine Flu and kennel cough. Hiring a pet sitter will allow your pet to stay in their comfort zone, thereby reducing unnecessary stress and exposure to illnesses. Purrfectly Poochy Pet Sitting takes every measure to ensure cleanliness between visits and strongly recommends that pet owners vaccinate their pets regularly.

Note: Most cases of Kennel Cough and Canine Flu occur in dogs who are in close contact with many other dogs.  These dogs include those who are boarded or are housed in shelters or kennels and even those who attend dog shows or the doggy park. (Cats are not immune from Kennel Cough infection and the same caution should be taken for them as well).

Many times we assume that since cats are independent creatures, they do not require as much attention as dogs, but this is far from the truth. They enjoy the same love and affection that dogs do. They are also quite mischievous and need looking after. They can get themselves into some odd situations, like getting caught up in wiring or locked in a closet or bedroom, thus preventing them from obtaining food, water or their litter box.

As we all are aware, most cats use a litter box as their source of relieving themselves, unless you are one of the fortunate people that have been able to train their cat to use a toilet, and if not cleaned out often enough your cat may avoid their litter box and relieve themselves in other locations.

Please don't think that your cat will be OK, with only a bowl of food and water  and no one to care for them.

Remember...nothing will replace the special bond that you have with your pet. Having a Pet Sitter come in during the day, while you are at work or out of town is something small, that you can do to repay the pet that gives you unconditional love everyday.
